Has it really been almost a year since my last post?! For those that have been following along on Facebook or Instagram (@threemuttscustoms) you know that I haven’t slowed down at all.
In fact, things have never been busier and have been bringing new designs and tooling styles to the market.

Over the next week, I’ll attempt to catch up everyone on the happenings of the last year…I have a literal ton of pictures to post.

A few updates on the Three Mutts Customs offerings:

Custom leather tank bibs and fender bibs for Harley-Davidson motorcycles are my specialty.  The traditional patterns for nearly every model of Harley are on hand and for those that are not, a few measurements or a tracing is all I need to bring something new to life.  In the last year I have also designed a new, wider drop point style tank bib for the Softail Slim & Heritage pointed dash.
Of course, my other proprietary designs have also been improved including the Fatboy OEM seat matching fender bib, the Heritage matching fender bib and others.

As of 2013 I discontinued the VTX whaletail tank bibs but there is a new kid on the block I have been working with to restart the line.  I’ll talk about Jeff and his new whaletail tank bib business in a later post.  You can also email him directly at

Now that you have a update preview, how about a few pictures for your viewing pleasure?

To try and catch up on updates, here is a small assortment of recent fender bibs I’ve made for clients. Notice the new addition to the bike list, the 2013 Suzuki C90T “Boss” fender bib is now a regular pattern and the C50 is coming soon.

This was a big Harley-Davidson Softail month for some reason, had a Deluxe, a Deuce and a couple of Heritage requests come in along with a 2014 StreetGlide and I still have work to finish up on a Crossbones, a Dyna Fat Bob, a Fatboy, a Road King and another Softail Deluxe before the month is over!  Enjoy the pics and check the blog for some other new updates…

Bill Me Later is now being accepted!

Posted in Uncategorized on August 8, 2013 by Chris Wright

I noticed over the past few months, some search engine search results for “custom leather shop that accepts Bill Me Later”.  Well, I looked into it and it’s an available part of Paypal business accounts and all I had to do was turn it on!  So, I’m pleased to announce that there is a finance option available for those folks that were looking for it.  It is a standard paypal payment option so to use it, request the Paypal invoicing option when placing an order.

Check out with PayPal and choose Bill Me Later. Subject to credit approval. See Terms.

Ballcap drawing winners!

Posted in Three Mutts Customs, Uncategorized with tags , , on February 1, 2013 by Chris Wright

Well either folks aren’t that excited about my logo design or ballcaps have gone out of style because I honestly was kind of surprised at the lack of entries for a totally free hat.  That being said, I do appreciate the four guys who did jump in and enter.  All four started out as clients and have become friends over the last year, checking back in with me via email or following the blog/Facebook  long after their projects are completed almost like a mini-Fan Club, haha.

So this morning in looking at the pictures while preparing the slips of paper for Emily to draw from I decided that they all deserve to win and each one will receive a Three Mutts ballcap.  Now I know that guys are competitive by nature so I let Emily draw the names anyway just for kicks.  Mondo & Mark ended up with the winning-the-drawing bragging rights, congrats guys.

I’ll find suitable boxes this weekend and get all the hats shipped out early next week.
Have a good weekend folks…

Mark “Maui Boy” B. is a little homesick and came to me for help.   No, I didn’t get into head shrinking as a hobby or anything; but some custom leather for his two-wheeled therapist was right up my alley.

Imagine spending 27 years in the sunny and sandy goodness that is Hawaii.  Long stretches of road, gorgeous views of (and on) the beaches, tropical temps nearly year-round. Sounds like motorcycle paradise, right? Now imagine moving to Michigan.  Not that Michigan in and of itself is bad, they have some nice seasons, a couple of good sized lakes and their share of fun roads to ride; but I bet you’d find yourself a little ‘homesick’ for the Aloha State too.  Continue reading
